Man-er, Man-er

Patrick was putting much needed felt feet on our dining room chairs. Emma was so excited that dad was fixing something. Emma has a small crush on Bob the Builder, and if you can fix it you win her vote. Well Patrick was hammering in the feet, stopped, flipped the next chair over and got ready to start placing the feet on a new chair. Emma says "Dad do you need your man-er, man-er" Patrick comes to me and says "What is a man-er, man-er" I have no clue any guesses? We think maybe hammer but aren't really sure.

Cheetos for breakfast...

Daddy can be often found eating chips for breakfast, and he left the bag in toddler range. I was putting laundry in the washing machine and came upstairs to find Ms. Emma chowing down on cheetos. "Mmhmmm Mom Cheetos are SO good" she said. Clearly delusional from all the processed chemicals in the glorious puffs of goodness. Silly, silly Emma! Now Cheetos live on top of the refrigerator!

Garden

The garden has been doing extremely well, and it has cut our grocery bill down a lot! At first we were eating a ton of beets thanks to this recipe. Now we are into the squash and zucchini harvest. We are still looking for our go to recipe for them.

More lettuce than we could ever eat. Also Chard pesto is amazing!

We are waiting for tomatoes, oh how do we love fresh tomatoes!

Yummy beets! They are done but we are ready for fall planting because they are such a good veggie!

Baby strawberries, we didn't get many its our first year. Emma wont know what to do with herself next year though!

Snap peas are Emma's favorite, she can keep herself busy outside harvesting and eating all day long. At one point Patrick didn't think that we were getting any peas because he never saw any. I had to tell him that was Emma would eat them while I watered.

Showing off her prize winning peas, mmmmmm they are tasty!

Growing!

Boy, Claire you sure are growing! You are almost 5 months old now and look how big you have gotten. You want to move so bad, and get into everything your sister is doing. I don't miss the newborn days, even though you were a good newborn, but seeing you come into yourself is so exciting!

Twisted

Emma screaming "Mom help my jammies are funny!" more franticly "Mom!" "I am coming" I say. I get to her and see this!

Boy that can't be comfy, and how does one get the jammies so twisted. Only Emma!

Lets go for a walk!

Emma really wanted to go for a walk, and I thought sure it's a perfect way to loose baby weight right. So we are walking and talking about the things we see and about colors and letters we can find. Then I realize no one is talking back to me, and I look and yep they are both cashed out! So I turn around a walk home and let them take a nap in the stroller while I knit on the front porch.
