Huge baby...

Claire is huge. I pulled out all of Emma's clothes from the winter when she was a baby. Seeing that they are only a month behind each other clothes seasons haven't been a problem.Claire doesn't really fit in the things that Emma wore, she is much to beefy. Claire not only is huge in size. She is huge in spirit. She is 7 months going on a year. She said forget feeding me baby food. Claire wants what you are eating and she wants to do it herself. She is also pulling up to stand in her crib, other things are surely to come much to soon. Today Jennifer, the mother of the children I sit for, was talking about the stairs. Claire then attempted to climb them, however only reaching step two. That is enough for me, Claire is a wild woman!

She is just oozing with determination! (and you better not try to stop her...)

Vist Uncle Brian

This past weekend we went and visited Uncle Brian. I think we should start referring to Uncle Brian as UB (a tribute to the movie Uncle Buck, a great classic.) We had a great time once everyone settled in. Maeve and Emma went to girl land and had fun with glitter and nail polish. Poor Cian, he doesn't enjoy girl land as much as Emma does. Thanks to Eric we managed to get Shadow's matted cat hair removed too. I think that alone made the weekend a success.

Maeve, beautiful and such a free spirit.

Cian is all boy, and probably a lot like his father as a boy. All the army men had to be aligned perfectly on the shelf, and socks had to be stacked the right way.

Emma's method of doughnut eating: eat the icing off, and save the bottom for later (aka known as throw it away) notice the banana in the foreground that got saved for later too... Sugar nut got her mother's sweet tooth.

Claire and Daddy had a good time too!
We can't wait until it's time to visit UB again.

Ballet

Emma started ballet last Friday. I think she really enjoys it, although she is moving to the beat of her own drum right now. Her teacher is Ms. Johanna, she has a long braid and a thick accent. Ms. Johanna treats the girls to tic-tacs at the end of class. I will have to try to get better pictures next class.

So it is know known that a manner manner is a hammer....

Foto Friday

Happy 4th of July! We managed to squeeze the parade in before the rain. The girls had a blast. Emma loved the marching bands. When asked what her favorite instrument was she said "the drums" Auntie Em is so proud.

Claire burrito was very excited

Emma bean was very patriotic and even scored a festive lei. Not to mention loads of candy!

Man-er, Man-er

Patrick was putting much needed felt feet on our dining room chairs. Emma was so excited that dad was fixing something. Emma has a small crush on Bob the Builder, and if you can fix it you win her vote. Well Patrick was hammering in the feet, stopped, flipped the next chair over and got ready to start placing the feet on a new chair. Emma says "Dad do you need your man-er, man-er" Patrick comes to me and says "What is a man-er, man-er" I have no clue any guesses? We think maybe hammer but aren't really sure.

Cheetos for breakfast...

Daddy can be often found eating chips for breakfast, and he left the bag in toddler range. I was putting laundry in the washing machine and came upstairs to find Ms. Emma chowing down on cheetos. "Mmhmmm Mom Cheetos are SO good" she said. Clearly delusional from all the processed chemicals in the glorious puffs of goodness. Silly, silly Emma! Now Cheetos live on top of the refrigerator!
