Sweet Nap
Daddy was sick last week, and took that opportunity to get in some quality snuggle time. I must admit I was a wee bit jealous for them getting to take such a sweet nap, but them being rested was much more important.

Hooping
My latest addiction is hula hooping. Call me crazy, you wouldn't be the first, but I love it. It is really a great way for me to center, and to process. Some love yoga (and I do like my yoga), but I love hooping. It is much easier for me to do with the kids. For some reason if I try yoga, they think I am creating a jungle gym. To them downward dog equals mom slide, which is just not relaxing. I built my own hoops, and we have been having such a good time.

First Day of Pre K
Heading off to her first day of Pre-K. She has to wear a uniform like the big kids do, and boy does it make her look so grown up.

The younger sibling always has to steal the limelight. Claire was so sad that we left Emma at school. She kept touching Emma's car seat and saying "Emma?" Claire was very happy when we picked Emma up, and that we didn't just leave Emma at the big school.
Emma's version of school went like this. "Well Mom, we got to school and ate waffles (which I think they did) and we had some squeezee stuff ( faux syrup?) and then we read a story. I did lots of swinging and this little boy wanted my swing and threw a fit" "Oh was he having a rough day." I said "Yeah" Emma continues on not appreciating my interruption, "and then we went back inside and made ant pictures, and then (this is where it gets creative) my dog Sparkle was digging a hole in the class and he found a bunch of ants. So we all got to look at the ants" "Then we decided to make a snack, so we made ant gummies. We cooked and cooked and then got tired from cooking so we took a nap" "Oh" I said "you didn't leave the oven on did you?" "Well Mom, it is a water oven and they don't burn just lots of smokey (steam)"
Sounds like it was a fun day at school.

Art Walk
A friend invited us to go on an art walk with her. It is a great new location we have, and I hadn't been yet. So I couldn't pass up the opportunity, and the girls had a blast!

The coolest basketball court.

Giggly girls, are they allowed to be this gossipy yet?

Mother nature's own art showcased, I think it was my favorite.

It was like walking in your own disco tech nature style.

Wandering Wednesday
Wandering Wednesday, a challenge by fellow blogger Nicole of Garden Mama: "Where did you wander today? I would love to know! Let's all take notice of where our feet take us and point our cameras down to notice where we are planted."

Here I stand folding laundry again. It is the one chore I loathe. I don't mind washing, I don't mind hanging, and I don't mind putting it away. But the folding, it is my nemesis.

Here I am having a pint sized picnic. Cupcake with strawberry, the wee chefs know how to treat a mama right.
